Transferring Files Guide
cash7c3 has got another great guide up--for transferring files to and from your Slvr using P2K Commander!

Complete Redesign of Site
All right, some of you may have noticed the CPU errors we've been getting at MoGu--growing pains for a growing site! I have recoded the whole site to straight code instead of using the CMS I was using--not because it was a buggy CMS, but because I can't afford my own server, which is what the CMS deserved! Bottom line is you should notice a much quicker site, and no more errors! Thanks--stick around, we're growing like crazy!

Menu Editing (Custom Menu).

by cash7c3

Have you ever noticed you don't like your menu on you phone?  Maybe you don't like the branding (such as cingular mall) or you would rather have something else shown on the main menu. Maybe you would just like to make your boring 9 icon menu into a 12 icon menu.  Whatever the reason, it is time for a change.  This little tutorial will show you how to create your own custom menu from that boring stock one.

What you need:

1)   A P2k program.  For this tutorial I will use P2k Tools which is available in the downloads section.

2)   mma convert.  This program is considered warez and you will have to find it yourself, try google.

3)   P2k Menu Editor.  Available in the downloads section

Once you have these programs installed you are rdy to begin. I suggest you download my folder pack and unzip it onto your desktop.  These folders are empty but are named appropriately to go hand in hand with this guide.

Step 1:  Open up P2k Tools and connect your phone in P2k mode.

Step 2:  Browse to the a/mobile/system directory on your phone

Step 3:  Select your mma_ucp file on your phone, click download.

Step 4:  Save this file somewhere on your computer.  I saved it in a folder called "original mma_ucp."

Step 5:  Open up mma convert

Step 6:  Click "open mma_ucp"

Step 7:  Browse to the mma_ucp file you saved on your computer, in my case it is in the "original mma_ucp" folder, select the mma_ucp file, and click open

Step 8:  Click convert

Step 9:  Save the file as whatever you want, I saved mine as "menu" in my "original mma_ucp" folder

Step 10:  Open P2k Menu Editor

Step 11:  Click open menu and select "open file", browse to the file you just converted, and click open.

Step 12:  Use the controls in P2k Menu Editor to modify your menu.  You can create new menu items and sub menu items, or delete items you do not want.  The drop down box lets you choose what your new menu items will be.

Step 13:  Once you have a menu you like, click save and select save as.  Then save your new menu (mine is still named menu) in a separate folder, my folder is called "modified mma_ucp"

Step 14:  Go back to mma convert, as before click "open mma_ucp." This time open up the menu file you made in P2k Menu Editor and just saved in the last step.  In my case I am opening up "menu" from my modified mma_ucp folder.

Step 15:  Click convert and save the file as "mma_ucp."  I saved this one in a folder I named "final mma_ucp."

Step 16:  Go back into P2k Tools, make sure you are in the a/mobile/system directory and click upload.

Step 17:  Browse to you new mma_ucp file (mine is in the "final mma_ucp" folder) and click open.  This will load your new mma file on to your phone.

You're done!  Restart your phone and see your new menu!

Note: For a 9 menu item skin there should be 9 main menus.  For a 12 icon skin you should have 12 main menu items.  To learn how to modify a skin to use 12 icons Click Here
